About IVMS Class Pages These pages are built in a software known as Moodle. Moodle is a software package for producing Internet-based courses and web sites. It is a global development project designed to support a social constructionist framework of education. One of the fastest growing and most powerful e-learning platforms available, Moodle is used by numerous universities and high schools world wide. IVMS is on a small list of elementary and middle schools using it. IVMS first started using Moodle on our educator training website, Montessori Live. Parentcator CourseThe word “parentcator” comes from Dr. Paul Czaja, the instructor of this course for parents. He says there is the child, the educator, and the parentcator that exist in a three-part relationship that is critical to the success for the child in a Montessori environment. The most crucial is that parentcators understand their role is to support the child’ school experience. But how does this work exactly?
